Targeted Genetics' goal is to commercialize novel therapeutics, and both academic and corporate partnerships are key to accomplishing this goal. Our capabilities enable us , from early stage proof-of-concept studies to extensive development and commercial collaborations.
We have entered into various product development relationships and license arrangements with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and non-profit organizations. Under these partnerships, have received reimbursement for research and development and manufacturing activities performed, milestone and upfront payments and may receive additional milestone payments. Additionally, we may receive payments upon the occurrence of certain transactions involving covered products as well as royalties from product sales, if any, after commercialization.
Targeted Genetics has broad delivery capabilities and a development infrastructure that can be leveraged across multiple product opportunities in a range of therapeutic areas, and we seek to to form strategic partnerships with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, non-profit organizations and academic institutions.
